The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an internationally recognized language test that certifies an individual’s English language proficiency. With over 35 million tests administered to date, the TOEFL test is one of the most popular language tests across the world. It is recognized by many schools and colleges in more than 130 countries. The TOEFL is suitable if you wish to apply to a university or graduate school abroad. It is also important if you are interested in working in America as many employers like to see concrete proof of your English proficiency.

Most English-speaking countries may need to use the TOEFL to assess your proficiency in English.  This could inform the decision on whether or not to grant you a work visa or allow you to stay.
